.: Million Thanks to The Lecturer.:
Today 28th October 2010 is the officially the last class for UHM 2022 Ethnic Relation subject.
For this entry, we are from "kamitakrigid" would like to share something we have get from all over 1 semester in this class.
Firstly, like most of students will fell this subject is not really important for our career especially in engineering field. From the first week we involved in all activities guided by the lecturer, Mr. Ahmad Bin Ibrahim.
Even we feel likes we need to do something childish, but we forget ,it was just a thinking. Then when do it the class, what happen is even a childish activity we can't do it perfectly. So, how we can say it childish. Then we know that ,all the task has it own meaning.
After 14 weeks, we had done a lot of activities, at the most lovely one we like is making a clip on 1 Malaysia topic. What a lovely experienced done this.Until then, when we watched back the video, we realize that actually we already have the 1 Malaysia environment, what we have to do next is actually, strong it up, and take a good care of the relation we have build.
Million thanks to Mr.Ahmad who done a very hard work to let us realize the important of knowledge, ethics , and ethnics. It is a great chance to be your students.
In the nutshell, hopefully ,today is not the full stop for this blog to stay alive ,and we hope all the readers will continue reading this blog.
.:UPDATE SURVEY REPORT.:
DESCRIPTION
“Dasar Perindustrian Berat Negara” has long term potential in the industrial countries as the basic design is a step towards a stronger economy by expanding and strengthening the basic structure and manufacturing for its continued growth and maturity can face.
Heavy Industry Association is expected to achieve the following objectives:
(1) Importing and absorbing the more sophisticated technology
to develop its own technology. As such, industry in Malaysia is not only to the extent of processing and producing consumer goods are easy, but rather to produce raw materials and industrial machinery and goods for the country of import substitution is competitive.
(2) Prevent the continued reliance on foreign goods and technology. With this, the country can save foreign exchange and subsequently founded a precautionary measure on the uncertainty of price and supply of strategic materials requirements.
(3) Diversifying and strengthening the export of Malaysian goods
to overcome the existing protection policies in developed countries on goods produced by labor-intensive industrialization of developing countries.
(4) Heavy Industries is expected to increase capacity
small-scale industries and industrial support in addition to setting up the industries of the new middle. Experience in other countries shows that investment and employment created by the middle of the industries, support small and this is greater than that caused by heavy industries themselves.
(5) create opportunities for workers to be trained in
the fields of engineering and related skills
RESULT AND ANALYSIS
Question 1 asking about the gender of the respondent. This question just want to know which gender answer the question more. From 54 respondents,30 female and 24 male .This show eventhough industries always being related to male , but the female also take part in the industrial field.
Question 2 is still the respondents data because we need to know how many respondents from industrial field answered the question and how many from other field. From the data we got, only 12 respondents from other field. The main factor is the target group mostly from technical students. The questionnaire had been answered by 74.8 % respondents from technical (engineering) field.
Question 3 asked the respondents whether the respondents have heard about “Dasar Perindustrian Berat Negara”.From 54 respondents, only nineteen respondents (35.18%) have heard about the policy. This show that Malaysian still does not take cognizance on Malaysian knowledge.
Question 4 asked wheter respondents or not on the statement “Only engineering or technical students will give their contribution to industrial field" . Only 24.07 % respondents agree that only engineering or technical students will give their contribution to industrial field. While others disagree.Because of the respondents mostly come from technical(industrial) field, they realize that whoever even not from technical studies can contribute to this field.
Question 5 asked the respondents whether they agree or not that the policy will help the students. From our observation, based on the result obtained, most of the respondents (91%) agreed that the policy will help the students who entered the industrial field to experience more practical assessment and give more chances to them to enter the industrial field, while the rest of 9% said no.
Question 6 is about the effect of the policy to our economy. On top of that, “Dasar Perindustrian Negara” also had given a big contribution by providing more vacancy to the citizens. By right, majority of the respondent (94%) agreed that this policy has increased the development of the economy sector’s in Malaysia. This has been stressed due to its contribution to the country’s economy from 13.4% in the year of 1970 and increased to 20.5% in the year 1980.
The last question is based on the ethnic relation. This question asked whether this policy give impact to the ethnic relation in Malaysia. . Only 20% of the respondents said yes to the contribution of good impact on ethnic relation but on the other hand, on the ethnic’s relation category, this policy doesn’t help much as 80% said no. This is due to no objective being stated regarding on to strengthen the bond of ethnic relations among the citizens. Meanwhile, we don’t realize that the bond of ethnic relations are automatically created as in an organization, there must be multiracial workers in it. No matter which races are they from, by having same mission in a same organization, the cooperation among the ethnics relation exists. Hence, this situation may strengthen their relationship.
